This course is designed for individuals who currently hold a CDL Class B license and wish to upgrade to a CDL Class A license. Students will develop the knowledge necessary to safely operate combination vehicles, including tractor-trailers and other Class A commercial motor vehicles. The course covers federal and state regulations, advanced vehicle inspection procedures, coupling and uncoupling, air brake systems, shifting techniques, vehicle control skills, cargo securement principles, and safe driving practices. The program meets Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) theory requirements for a Class A CDL upgrade and prepares students for successful completion of required knowledge and skills assessments.
